EgoAirways: the new airline for “tailor-made” travel

In the midst of the pandemic, while the demand for flights falls by about 70% (according to the latest IATA data) in Italy, a new airline is ready to depart that is betting everything on the future: it is EgoAirways, a carrier born in Romagna, which has just put its first flights on sale, active since 28 March. It will connect with each other Forlì, Florence, Catania, Parma, Bari and Lamezia Terme and, from 4 June, Cagliari, Bergamo and Rome. And soon to have a base in Milan Malpensa to operate in codeshare with other airlines operating at the Lombard airport and expand to holiday and business locations abroad, such as Eastern European countries, and those of the Mediterranean area, with Spain and Greece in the lead.

For now we operate with two aircraft Embraer 190. They are aircrafts with attention to detail and small, with just 100 seats, chosen precisely to land in small airports since the company’s strategy is to bring travelers first of all to small locations, but complete convenience and with comfort are tailor-made.

The big news that EgoAirways brings to the travel sector, in fact, is not only connecting new destinations, but a service tailor made at a price that rivals that of high-speed trains: it is the traveler who decides how to travel and therefore how much to spend. It starts from the choice of the seat, more or less spacious, with two options: they are the Just Go rates at € 48.90, and the Private rates at € 98.90. Each at the time of booking can be enriched by personalizing the trip with a wide choice of services. These include priority boarding, the delivery of your trolley alongside, a private car to reach the hotel, tailor-made menus also veg or high-protein (served in compliance with the latest Covid-19 prescriptions) and strictly based on Italian products. In the future, among the objectives, propose iwhole holiday packages that on the fly add the hotel and special experiences to live at your destination.

All this with a strong focus on sustainability, ranging from the choice of plastic-free packaging to on-board separate collection. The company also has in the pipeline an investment project in renewable energies to eliminate emissions.
