At least 12 people were killed yesterday, Saturday night in Suez of Egypt when it was overthrown bus in which they were riding.
According to the Egyptian press, the fatal bus was carrying families returning from the Sharm El Sheikh resort in Cairo.
The injured are at least 34, according to the data so far.
Thirty ambulances immediately arrived in the area to transport the injured from the crash site to Suez General Hospital and other nearby hospitals.
Some of the injured were in critical condition.
According to the official Egyptian Statistical Service (CAPMAS), in 2020 the number of road accidents in the country increased by 17.8% compared to 2019.
A message of condolence for the accident was posted on twitter by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We are saddened by the tragic bus accident in Egypt,” he said.
“Warm condolences to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. We express our full solidarity with the people and the government of the friendly country of Egypt. “
