Egypt: Unvaccinated civil servants will not be able to receive their salaries

More specifically, in his statements on “Al Hayat” television, the representative of the Egyptian cabinet urged those civil servants who have not yet been vaccinated, to receive the vaccine immediately, as it is mandatory for civil servants.

At the same time, unvaccinated civil servants will have to undergo PCR testing every week, and in some workplaces, twice a week, and at their own expense, as Nander Saad characteristically stated in his statements that he also records the widely circulated newspaper “Al Ahram”.

It is noted that the Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli has instructed all ministers to issue a decree banning civil servants from entering their services for work, unless they submit a vaccination certificate or PCR test every three days for those who refuse to receive the vaccine. in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers at its meeting on 26 September.

For his part, however, the representative of the country’s Ministry of Health, Khalid Megahed, stated that to date about 2.4 million of the 3.4 million civil servants of the state have been vaccinated.

As of September 27, 2021, a total of 16,223,309 doses of vaccine have been administered in Egypt, according to the World Health Organization.

The country is currently facing the fourth wave of the pandemic, with 306,030 reported infections since the outbreak broke out in the country on February 14, 2020, of which 17,399 people ended up suffering from coronavirus complications, according to the latest ministry announcement. Health.
