Today, on April 14, the international payment system Mastercard together with the Russian manufacturer of contactless payment devices ISBC from Zelenograd announced the launch of key fobs for contactless payment ISBC Pay in Russia.

As noted in the message of the companies, in Russia more than 70% of purchases are paid by non-cash methods. Now this is done mainly using bank cards or smartphones.
As ISBC Managing Director Nikita Kozhemyakin explained, unlike other key fobs for payment, ISBC Pay users will be able to bind a Mastercard of any bank participating in the project to the device, and, if necessary, remove it and connect a card of another bank. In a couple of months, it is planned to launch the ability to tie the card to straps for mechanical watches and other items.
At the first stage, Mastercard cards of eight banks, such as Gazprombank, Pochta Bank, MKB, Rosselkhozbank, Otkritie Bank, Alfa-Bank, Tatsotsbank and Promsvyazbank, can be linked to ISBC Pay. The cost of the ISBC Pay NFC keyfob for making payments is 1,490 rubles.
Nikita Kozhemyakin explained:
You can forget your bank card at home, your phone may run out of power – in such cases, a key fob with a payment function will come in handy. You can release several of these key rings and give them to children; if they lose it, nothing bad will happen – there are no payment details on the key fob, it can be blocked without blocking the card itself. ”
