Eight ways of saying “miniskirt”

A synonym for spring / summer style? Miniskirt, no doubt. The smallest size garment in the wardrobe never ceases to be revolutionary and mark important achievements of freedom. So it was in the 60s, when Mary Quant he launched it after observing girls on Carnaby Street who were eager for emancipation, so it is in the 1920s of the Third Millennium in which the fashion of the post Covid era returns the liberation of the body and the consequent desire to discover oneself by showing as many inches of skin as possible.

No doubt, therefore, that at this moment the miniskirt is the queen of the wardrobe. The turning point in 2022 is that she wears without age or size limits, proposed in a thousand different variations, one for each woman. We saw it at the fashion shows: the summer catwalks were literally flooded with legs on display. If the Miu Miu one has depopulated on social media that has taken the Y2K aesthetics (which we talked about here) to the highest levels, Dior has (re) proposed the trapeze cuts of the Golden Age of the mini, the Sixties.

And the success of the miniskirt continues. The Fall / Winter 2022-23 catwalks clearly showed that it is a trend made to remain even in the future cold season with even shorter hems (with Diesel offering more than mini maxi belts) and an even lower waist, in spite of the temperatures.

So it is clear that to be à la page you just need to choose the model that you like best and on which to focus and combine it with a crop top, a blazer, a T-shirt or a sweatshirt (like Rihanna does wearing a lurex micromini and hoodie) or a corset.
