Cooling specialist EK has unveiled the EK-Quantum Vector Trinity RTX 3080/3090 active rear panel. This panel complements the waterblock of the same name for the Zotac Trinity GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards, dissipating heat from the back of the PCB.
The active back panel of the EK-Quantum Vector RE RTX 3080/3090 is connected to the waterblock with a new terminal, which is installed instead of the standard waterblock terminal. This keeps the number of connections to a minimum, limited to one inlet and one outlet. This traps the GPU and other heat sources between the two water blocks for maximum cooling.
The copper base of the active back panel is nickel plated for corrosion resistance. Six channels are formed in the area adjacent to the portion of the board where the GPU is located, which leads to improved heat transfer. The cover and terminal are made of transparent or black plastic. The version with a transparent cover is decorated with addressable LED lighting, compatible with common control systems.
