EK has announced the release of a waterblock designed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors used in 1U servers. The new product is called the EK-Pro CPU WB sTR Rack, and compatibility with the 1U drain box is achieved through lateral port placement. There are only two ports, with a G1 / 8 “thread.
The waterblock is designed specifically for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor, so that its base is exactly the size of the processor heat spreader. The base is made of copper and nickel plated. An array of 91 microchannels is formed on its inner side. The cover material is POM plastic. The EK-Pro CPU WB sTR Rack waterblock comes with a pre-assembled mount that fits directly into the SocketTR4 mounting holes. For installation, you do not need to remove the motherboard from the case.
The waterblock is compatible with AMD sTRX4, AMD Socket TR4 (SP3r2) and AMD Socket SP3 processor sockets. It costs 139.90 euros.
