EK Water Blocks has unveiled the EK-Quantum Vector Strix RX 6800/6900 D-RGB waterblock, designed for installation on Asus ROG Strix Radeon RX 6800/6900 video cards.

The description of the new item says that it belongs to the second generation of EK-Quantum Vector water blocks. The base of the fully coated waterblock is made of copper and nickel plated. According to the manufacturer, the split flow design is optimized to provide even distribution and smooth flow of coolant without disturbances that reduce efficiency in any direction of engagement. Due to its low hydrodynamic resistance, the water block can be successfully used even with low power pumps.

The waterblock is available in two versions – with a transparent cover and with a black one, costing 170 and 175 euros, respectively. Each one is adorned with nine addressable LEDs. The backlight is compatible with common sync technologies, of course including Asus Aura Sync.

Additionally, metal plates are proposed, fixed on the back side of the printed circuit board, distributing thermal and mechanical loads, and improving the appearance of the video card. A black plate costs about 43 euros, a nickel-plated one – 50 euros.
