Cooling specialist EK has unveiled the EK-Quantum Vector TRIO RTX 3080/3090 active rear panel. This panel is designed for MSI Trio and Suprim GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards. It complements the EK-Quantum Vector Trio RTX 3080/3090 waterblock, providing heat dissipation to the back of these graphics cards.
The active rear panel connects to the waterblock via a terminal, which replaces the waterblock terminal. The result is a structure that encloses the graphics card on both sides and connects to the liquid cooling system with one inlet and one outlet. It is claimed to provide maximum cooling and give the graphics card an attractive look.
The base of the active back panel, which is essentially a water block, is made of copper and nickel plated. The cover material, depending on the type, is black or transparent plastic. In the first case, the terminal is also made black, and in the second – transparent. In addition, the clear lid product features addressable full color backlighting that is compatible with common backlight control systems. The rest of the construction elements, which are not in contact with the coolant, are made of aluminum and nickel-plated or anodized.
The EK-Quantum Vector TRIO RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate – Acetal costs 144.9 euros, the EK-Quantum Vector TRIO RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate D-RGB – Plexi – 149.9 euros. Acceptance of pre-orders has already begun. The company promises to start shipping in mid-November.
