The Turkish authorities arrested the lawyer of the biggest political opponent of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the prisoner of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglou, said Friday the opposition party. Imamoglou, a member of the CHP, which precedes Erdogan in some polls, was imprisoned on Sunday, pending his trial for corruption and bribery, provoking the largest anti -government demonstrations of the last decade, which in turn led to mass arrests.
