Elbow, Amal doll and refugees from 30 countries joined their voices on the stage of the Glastonbury Festival

The Manchester Berry rock band sang the hit “One Day Like This” with little Amal, which was designed to highlight the plight of asylum-seeking children, but also with the choir’s 50 members. refugees.

THE choir was founded in 2015 in response to the refugee crisis in Syria and its members are from 30 countries.

Amal, who is 3.5 meters tall after a tour in England this month, took the stage at the Festival, held the hand of Elbow leader Guy Garvey and they sang together.

Anna Vrizan, originally from the Ukrainian city of Mariupol that was heavily bombed during the Russian invasion, left her country in early March and said she “will never forget” being on the Glastonbury Festival stage.

“I have no words, I only have feelings to cry and shout – thank you very much for this experience, I will remember it forever,” said the 28-year-old from Ukraine, as reported by the Athens News Agency.

He stressed that the choir gives the opportunity to “meet in one place, people from different corners of the world”.

“I have never had such an experience, such kindness, such a welcome, it helps you forget everything,” he noted.
