A 77-year-old man, identified as Cesar Fine Torresi, died after being stabbed in the chest, on Rua Pirajá da Silva, in the Aparecida neighborhood, in Santos, this Saturday (8).
According to the Military Police, the attack occurred around 4:50 pm, when the elderly man was crossing the street with his grandson.
The attacker, a 39-year-old man, disembarked from a vehicle and struck the elderly man, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.
The victim was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and taken to UPA Zona Leste, where he was diagnosed in a coma, presenting chest and head trauma.
Despite medical efforts, the elderly man did not survive and died.
Due to the seriousness of the facts, the suspect was arrested in the act and remains at the disposal of Justice. The reason for the attack was not revealed.
The case was registered as bodily injury followed by death at the Santos Judicial Police Center (CPJ).
According to the Civil Police, the elderly man’s son went to the police unit to report his father’s death.
