One 79-year-old woman was scammed after believing she was dating American businessman Elon Musk . The complaint was made on Monday afternoon (23), in the municipality of Toledo, in the interior of Paraná. The victim believed that he was receiving messages from the multibillionaire, who made promises to the elderly woman.
THE woman transferred around R$4,000 on Apple cards to someone posing as Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and social network X.
The complaint was made after employees at a supermarket identified an atypical number of purchases from several of the store’s credit cards. When questioned, the victim revealed that she had a long-distance relationship with the businessman.
