The pre-election period – lightning, lasting just two weeks, officially began today in France, with the parties having finalized the composition of their ballots in the 577 single-member constituencies, where in the first round (June 30) the candidates of all parties and in the second round (July 7) the first two pass. President Macron’s faction “Renaissance” has decided not to field candidates in almost 60 constituencies where “Ganians” are candidates of parties other than the extreme right, whose presence the ruling faction considers “useful” and “constructive”. Among these constituencies are those in which, under the banner of the new Popular Front of the left, former French President Francois Hollande, the Socialist Olivier Faure and the Communist Fabien Rousselle come, while in several constituencies the ruling faction declares its support centre-right candidates, while nowhere does it appear to support candidates from Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party.
