This Sunday (19), Argentine voters go to the polls to choose the next president. The second round will be played between Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza) and Sergio Massa (Unión por la Patria), Argentina’s current economy minister.
Javier Milei is the far-right candidate and was the second most voted in the first round. His political career was boosted in 2020, when he announced his candidacy for President in the 2023 elections. He is considered a controversial figure, even insulting Pope Francis as “the representative of the evil one on Earth”.
In the race for the presidency, popular mobilization occurred in the campaign against Milei. And not even Xuxa’s music was left out in this electoral race.
The queen of short people is loved by Argentines and considered a true icon in Argentina. The hit “Ilariê” was used in a jingle made by the group Somos Gelatina to criticize Javier Milei and ask people not to vote for him.
