A significant increase to 364.54 euros per megawatt hour is recorded in the price of electricity for tomorrow Tuesday according to the closing of the pre-day market on the Energy Exchange.
In comparison, the price was 327.7 euros yesterday, 255.64 euros on Saturday and 291.71 euros on Friday.
Prices are moving higher tomorrow in most European countries (indicative: France 366.4 euros +9.6%, Germany 331.52 euros +4.7%, Italy 386.46 + 11.1%, Bulgaria 361.83 euros + 11.3%) due to concerns about gas supply from Russia and the increase in gas prices in recent days to levels above 130 euros per megawatt hour.
The electricity demand tomorrow in Greece is estimated at 390 gigawatt hours and will be covered by gas units (43.7%), renewable sources (24.5%), lignite units (17.1%), hydroelectric units (5.8%) and imports (4.4%).
