THE electrobras adhered to the leniency agreement signed by the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) and the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) with the Andrade Gutierrezfor reimbursement purposes, the company said in a material fact on Friday (4).
In addition to the electric company itself, the Eletrobras companies that will benefit from the agreement are Chesf, Eletronorte, Furnas and Eletronuclear, totaling R$ 139.6 million.
“In this way, part of the resources that the company is entitled to will return to Eletrobras, given the losses caused by the construction company, resulting from the corruption scheme uncovered by the company. Operation Car Wash“, said Eletrobras.
The company also pointed out that it will have access to information and documents obtained through the agreement, in order to assess whether there are other appropriate compensation measures to be adopted, due to the illicit acts of which it claims to have been a victim.
The agreement amounts have not yet been recognized in Eletrobras’ financial statements.
