Eletrobras enters the final stretch of capitalization of the company. The federal government expects to complete the process within 12 days, after the company filed a share offering request with regulatory agencies in Brazil and the United States.
With the sale of more than 627 million shares, Eletrobras will no longer have the Union as a majority partner, moving more than R$ 30 billion in the capital market. According to the schedule provided for in the material fact published by the company, between June 2 and 8, interested parties will be able to reserve shares. The definition of the price per share will be on the 9th of the next month.
With the privatization of the company, workers from any sector will be able to use up to 50% of FGTS resources to buy Eletrobras shares. The mechanism used for this process is the Mutual Privatization Fund, created in 2000, and already used in other cases, such as at Vale and Petrobras.
Another highlight of this Monday’s podcast (30) is the fall of bitcoin. The cryptocurrency reached almost $70,000 in November last year, but is around $30,000 at the moment. In the year, the fall is about 30%.
