Eleven children dead from a collapse of sand mining installation in Nigeria

Eleven children died on Tuesday, when a part of a sand mining and collection facility in Kantouna, in northern Nigeria, retreated, according to a police statement. Children, 4 to 9 years old, were studying in informal Islamic Hierodoxy and exiled sand that is used to make bricks, near the village of Yardoka, in the Kubau area. “Eleven children are dead, another seven were injured and hospitalized,” said Mansir Hassan, a police spokesman in Kantouna. “Our police officers, with the help of volunteers from the village, pulled the corpses of the collapsing victims that collapsed,” he added. Eleven children were buried on the same day.
