11 people on her flight were taken to a hospital Delta Airlineswhere were injured after experiencing “severe turbulence” before landing in Atlanta, according to a company spokesman.
The plane carried 165 people, 151 passengers and 14 crew members from Milan according to CBS. Among the 11 injured are both crew members and passengers. “Delta Care Team members are mobilized to connect with customers on Delta Flight 175which experienced severe turbulence before landing safely in Atlanta on Tuesday,” a company spokesperson noted.
“Our priority is to take care of our injured customers and crew. We are grateful for the first responders who arrived on the aircraft to provide medical care and are transporting the injured to the hospital,” the Delta spokesperson noted.
