Eliana gets emotional when remembering her father’s death: “It’s not easy”

Eliana 51, became emotional as he recalled the recent death of his father at the age of 92, after facing health problems. The statement came last Tuesday (14), during the second episode of the new season of Tight Skirt of the GNT in which she is part of the team of presenters.

On the show, the presenter highlighted the reversal of roles in caring for family members after a certain age. “It was very interesting to have taken care of him during these two intense years. He lived with me during the most difficult time of his life,” she began.

“Being my father’s mother for these two years was something that impacted me emotionally and also gave me the experience of observing the end of a life very well lived, because he was a very intense guy in all his emotions, in everything he wanted to do, but it’s not easy to leave that role of daughter behind,” she assured.

Alongside Bela Gil, Tati Machado and Rita Batista, Eliana also talked about what it’s like to see her parents getting older. “I think that women my age, who have living parents, are in the same place I am, and it’s not easy. On the other hand, girls, if I can tell you anything, it’s that it’s a huge learning experience to see what it’s like to get older. And I want to get there,” she said.

“What is it like to have patience to live through this, because your head may be fine, but your body no longer reacts the way you would like it to. And you understand that you have already lived through all of this and that now you are in another stage. It is an incredible learning experience, but this change of roles is very difficult”, he concluded.
