The first trans man to star on his cover Time magazine, in his latest release, will become the Oscar nominee actor, Eliot Page.
The 34-year-old, who has been nominated for several awards for his 2007 film “Juno” and starred in the Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy”, announced that he is a trans in December.
The actor had written, at that time, on Instagram that he could not “begin to describe how special he feels that he finally loves so much who he is, in order to follow his authentic self”.
Page follows in the footsteps of actress Lavern Cox, who became the first trans woman to appear on the cover of Time in 2014. According to APE-MPE, she told Time that she had long felt a disconnect between how people viewed her and how he felt about himself.
“It simply came to our notice then. “For a long time, I could not even look at a photo of myself,” he added.
