Elisa, between Covid and the new album (waiting for Sanremo)

Little by little all the details are outlined on the highly anticipated discographic return of Elisa. During the final of Sanremo Giovani last December 15, the singer-songwriter was the only Big competitor at the festival not to be present at the Sanremo Casino Theater. Elisa, indeed, tested positive at Covid-19 and announced the title of her song in the competition via video link from home.

The song that will mark Elisa’s return to the Ariston stage after her victory – 21 years ago with Light (Sunsets north east) – Sara Or maybe it’s you. The music of the piece sees the signature of Elisa, while the text also sees the participation of Davide Petrella. The production of Or maybe it’s you finally, it is by Andrea Rigonat.

But not all the news on the singer-songwriter are here. Indeed, Elisa has announced that her new double album of unreleased Ritorno al Futuro / Back to the Future will be released on February 18, 2022. This album comes three years after the success of Open Diaries (certified double platinum) and will show the two souls of the singer-songwriter: one record is in Italian, while the second is in English. Of Ritorno al Futuro / Back to the Future A single has already been released. It is about Arrow.

Speaking instead of her returning to the Ariston stage, Elisa wrote on her Instagram profile: «We wrote one of the best songs of the album on Facetime, in lockdown, in the darkest days of last winter. I believe, by reaction. I wrote another one that I kept in a drawer for years, his destiny was to wait for Sanremo and 2022 to meet you“.
