Elizabeth’s subversive decision to show the royal family at Philip’s funeral to “protect” Harry

The Daily Mail describes the last-minute decision – and with the approval of Queen Elizabeth – as an unprecedented development – the adult members of the royal family wear dark clothes but no military uniforms at the funeral of Prince Philip on Saturday.

And this in order to have a uniform image.

According to the British newspaper, in the background there was concern that Prince Harry, who abandoned his military titles leaving the royals, would be the only one who would not wear a uniform, since he could not.

The 36-year-old is believed to have wanted to wear the uniform he wore to his wedding. However, after leaving the royal family, he is only allowed to wear a suit, with all the medals that have been awarded to him either while he was serving or by the queen.

Instead, everyone else, including his father and brother, should appear in full uniform.

The issue, according to the report, arose when Prince Andrew asked to wear his military uniform, although he resigned from his military title when he resigned from his public office in the wake of the Epstein scandal. His honorary titles, however, had not been taken away from him.

This caused concern in Buckingham. If the answer to Andrew’s request was no, then he and Harry would be the only ones politically active in the military.

“There was a risk of great shame,” a source told the British newspaper.

The queen decided that in order to maintain the unity of the family and to prevent public humiliation of her grandson, everyone would wear the same: morning coats and black ties men, simply black sets women.

It is believed to be the second time in more than a century that the royal family has not appeared in uniform at the funeral of a monarch or her husband.

However, it is considered a public offering of an oil industry to Harry, following an interview with him and Megan Markle’s wife at the Opera House last month, in which bombs were dropped on the palace and the royal family was accused of racism.
