Elliot Page will present the documentary at the Berlin Film Festival Into My Name (In My Name), which will address a little-known perspective of the transgender community.
The actor will be the producer of said documentary, which was created under the direction of the Italian Nicolò Bassetti. This will allow the actor to experience a new facet in his career, in addition to giving voice and visibility to the trans community, in which he is already an important pillar.
Page has become an important figure for the trans community, as it has helped him gain visibility, and now he will take his work and activism beyond what he thinks, with his participation as a producer in the documentary In My Name by director Nicolò Bassetti.
What strikes me the most about ‘Nel Mio Nome’ is the clever and intentional way in which all the different pieces that make up a person’s identity are presented.
Also, knowing that Bassetti consulted his trans son closely during production is very beautiful to me. I think that the lived experience and the contribution are clear in the perspective of the film. I’m honored to be on board and can’t wait for everyone to see it.

This documentary will try to show all the pieces, thoughts and processes that make up a person’s identity. All with a humanitarian tint, because, as Page already said, the project is based on both his personal experience and that of Bassetti, who was a crucial pillar in the transition of his son Matteo.
My personal experience as a father has allowed me, as a director, to find the necessary security to approach the protagonists of this story, delve into their emotions and establish an intimate relationship based on trust and complicity.

As for the plot, In My Name It will take us to witness the transition process of Nico, Leo, Andrea and Raff, a group of friends between 20 and 30 years old, who will change from a feminine to a masculine identity at different stages of their lives.
In My Name will be screened for the first time at the Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from February 10 to 20 this year.
