Elon musk said on Friday that its $44 billion deal to buy Twitter is temporarily on hold, citing pending details about spam and fake accounts.
He posted on his Twitter that, before moving forward with the agreement, he awaits the delivery of detailed calculations that confirm, in fact, that fake and spam accounts on the social network represent less than 5% of the platform’s users.

The platform also said it faces several risks until the deal with musk be closed, including whether advertisers would continue to spend on Twitter.
muskthe richest man in the world and Tesla CEO had said that one of his priorities would be to remove “spam bots” from the platform.
