O Elon Musk clarified on Thursday that, despite wishing from Twitter lift the permanent ban on the former US president, Donald TrumpThis does not mean that he supports Trump in the run-up to a 2024 presidential campaign.
Musk is the richest man in the world and CEO of Tesla, while trying to close a deal to acquire Twitter.
He told a Financial Times conference yesterday that Twitter’s decision to ban access to Trump “was unethical.”
Musk followed up on his remarks in a post Thursday night, clarifying that he did not support Trump as a presidential candidate. “Despite the fact that I think e“A less divisive candidate would be better in 2024. I think Trump should be reinstated on Twitter.” he estimated.

Trump has stated that he does not want to return to Twitteras it has already set up its own social networking site, Truth Social.
The former US president, as reminded by APE-MPE, was permanently banned from Twitter in January 2021, due to the risk of “further incitement to violence” after the invasion of his followers in the US Capitol, as then announced by the social media .
Trump is considering running for president of the United States in 2024, following his failed re-election campaign in 2020.
