Elon Musk continues to unintentionally pump memcoins. Every tweet from the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, hinting at one or another “meme” token, is viewed by cryptans as a signal to buy.
Elon Musk posted X (formerly Twitter) has a hamster emoji. This reminded the crypto community of Hamster Kombat. Because of this, the price of HMSTR immediately rose by 5%, but soon dropped quickly.
Pump and dump “hamster” from Elon Musk
On the night of November 15, Musk responded to a post by US Senator Rand Paul. The latter published a meme referring to annual report on federal spending. In it, the politician revealed that the US federal government spent $3 million on grants to “watch hamster fights on steroids.”
According to Paul, authorities have long been interested in injecting animals with various substances and observing their behavior.
In a tweet, the senator hinted that this issue could be addressed by the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). One of the goals of this government agency is to reduce unnecessary government spending.
The proposal to create DOGE was made by Donald Trump, who was re-elected as President of the United States in November of this year. Musk agreed to take a leadership position in the department.
How much is HMSTR worth now?
In response to Rand Paul’s post, the Tesla founder posted a hamster emoji. Cryptans took this as a hint to Hamster Kombat and raised the price of HMSTR by 5% – from $0.0379087 to $0.0398292.
However, the token failed to stay at $0.0398292 for a long time. Within an hour, the asset rate dropped to $0.0367491.
According to CoinGeckoat the time of writing, HMSTR is trading at $0.003936. Over the past 24 hours, the price of memcoin has dropped by 5.7%. However, over the week, the coin showed an increase of 50%.
Hamster Kombat is preparing for a second season
Now the Tapalki team is actively preparing for the start of the second season of the game. Initially, they planned to launch it by the end of October. However, the developers were unable to implement their plans for unknown reasons.
Recently the creators of Hamster Kombat shared in the project’s Telegram channel with statistics on on-chain HMSTR holders. So, now there are 11 million memcoin owners on the market.

However, Hamster Kombat’s popularity continues to decline. In just three months, Tapalka lost more than 260 million players. In terms of the number of monthly active users, the once leader among clickers in Telegram has been surpassed by another well-known project – Blum.
Previously, the developers shared details of the second season of “The Hamster.” Instead of a crypto exchange, players will have to upgrade a video game studio.
