Elon Musk sent 22 satellites into space: Watch video of the launch

Her Falcon spaceship SpaceX of Elon Musk, launched 22 Starlink satellites into low earth orbit. It is the first of two consecutive launches that SpaceX will carry out in a few hours.

The launch of Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon took place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and the mission was broadcast live.

In a few hours, another Falcon 9 rocket will launch another 23 Starlink satellites.

Images from Santa Barbara, California show a bright light in the sky after the launch.

SpaceX first launched its Starlink satellites in May 2019 and has already sent more than 5,000 satellites into space.

The Sunday, Jan. 14 mission marks the fourth launch since the New Year for SpaceX, which plans to launch 144 missions this year.

So far, Elon Musk's SpaceX record is 98 launches, a feat set in 2023.
