Elon Musk told when customers will receive their Tesla Cybertruck

Back in 2019, Tesla unveiled an ambitious cyberpunk electric pickup truck called the Cybertruck. However, the model has not yet “went” into the series. The launch of the production of a pickup truck has been postponed more than once, and in the course of communicating with investors, the head of Tesla, Elon Musk, announced the new terms for the Cybertruck to appear on the market.

To begin with, it must be said that Tesla originally planned to start production of the Cybertruck at the end of 2021. However, in August last year, the company announced a postponement to 2022. Elon Musk later expressed hope that the electric pickup will hit the market next year. And now the head of Tesla, addressing investors, said that the company plans to begin deliveries of the Tesla Cybertruck in the middle of next year.

Musk did not elaborate on what the company had left to do before bringing the Cybertruck to market. However, many experts believe that production problems could prevent the launch of the model on time. The fact is that due to quarantine restrictions in China, Tesla had to suspend the work of its Shanghai gigafactory for some time, as a result of which the company faced a shortage of existing Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Model Y models.

“Tesla doesn’t have a demand problem, we have a production problem,” Musk said during a discussion of the quarterly financial report.

As expected, the Tesla Cybertruck will be assembled at the American Tesla plant in Texas. The model will be produced in three versions with one, two or three electric motors. The power reserve, depending on the configuration, will vary from 400 to 800 kilometers.
