Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service has been activated at a hospital in the Gaza Strip with the help of the United Arab Emirates and Israel, SpaceX’s chief executive said today. The Gulf country’s foreign minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, thanked the billionaire businessman for supporting the UAE’s campaign hospital in Gaza, where many health facilities have been destroyed in more than nine months of war. “Starlink is now live in a hospital in Gaza with the support of @UAEmediaoffice and @Israel,” Musk said in a post on the X platform, more than five months after the Israeli government approved Starlink’s use at the hospital in the city Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
