“Hellenic Petroleum” (ELPE), as part of the implementation of its strategy for development in the RES sector, announced the signing of a binding agreement for the acquisition by “ELPE RENEWABLE WIND PARKA MANIS S.A.” – a wholly owned subsidiary of ELPE RENEWABLES S.A. – of the companies “MAKRYLAKKOMA S.A.” and “SAGIAS SA”, owned by the Kopelouzo Group and the “International Construction” Group.
The wind farms, with a total capacity of 55.2 MW, are located in East Mani of Laconia and have been in operation since December 2019. The total price for 100% of the shares of the two companies amounts to €90 million. The two wind farms parks of the acquired company “MAKRYLAKKOMA S.A.” located at Makrylakkoma in Eastern Mani, have a total power of 29.9 MW and consist of 13 wind turbines.
The other two wind farms, of the company “SAGIAS SA”, are located at the location of Prophet Ilias in Eastern Mani, have a total power of 25.3 MW and consist of 11 wind turbines. It is estimated that the four parks can cover, with clean energy, the annual energy needs of approximately 40,000 households or 8,000 small and medium-sized businesses.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Business Solutions SA (PwC) acted as financial advisor to ELPE RENEWABLES SA, while the law firm Lampadarios & Associates acted as legal advisor.
