The Hellenic Statistical Authority announces the Industrial Production Index for February 2022, the development of which, according to data temporarily and adjusted for the number of working days, is as follows:
The General Index of Industrial Production for the month of February 2022, compared to the corresponding index of February 2021, showed an increase of 4.8% compared to an increase of 4.3% recorded during the corresponding comparison of 2021 with 2020.
The average General Index of Industrial Production for the period January – February 2022, compared to the corresponding index for the period January – February 2021, showed an increase of 2.2%.
The seasonally adjusted General Index of Industrial Production for the month of February 2022, compared to the corresponding index of January 2022, showed an increase of 2.0%.
The index of the tobacco industry recorded the largest percentage increase, while the index of the other mines and quarries sector recorded the largest percentage decrease in February 2022 compared to January 2022.
When comparing the February 2022 indices with the corresponding indices of February 2021, the largest percentage increase was recorded in the leather and leather goods sector, while the largest percentage decrease was recorded in the ore mining sector.
