ELSTAT: 43.1% annual increase in turnover in industry in June

The General Industrial Turnover Index for the month of June 2022 jumped by 43.1% compared to the corresponding index for June 2021, as ELSTAT announced today.

In the corresponding comparison of the year 2021 with 2020, there was an increase of 22.7%.

From May, the General Business Cycle Index showed an increase of 6.4% in June.

Finally, the average General Index for the twelve months July 2021 – June 2022, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months July 2020 – June 2021, showed an increase of 36.8%, compared to an increase of 2.6% recorded when comparing the corresponding previous twelve months .

As announced by ELSTAT, the increase of the General Index of Business Cycle in Industry by 43.1% in the month of June 2022, compared to the corresponding index of June 2021, came from:

From the changes in the indicators of the individual sectors of the industry:

-Increase by 43.6% of the Manufacturing Cycle Index. This increase was mainly contributed by the changes in the indices of the two-digit branches: production of coke and refined petroleum products, production of basic metals, production of chemical substances and products, food industry.

-Increase by 4.4% of the Mining – Quarry Cycle Index. This increase came mainly from the changes in the indicators of the two-digit branches: coal and lignite mining – crude oil and natural gas extraction – mining support activities, other mines and quarries.

From the changes in individual market indices:

-Increase by 45.6% of the Domestic Market Turnover Index

-Increase by 39.1% of the Foreign Market Turnover Index
