ELSTAT: 9.8% increase in the output price index in agriculture-livestock in June

The General Index of Output Prices in Agriculture – Livestock (without subsidies) for the month of June 2022 showed an increase of 9.8%, compared to the corresponding index of June 2021, according to the data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority. The corresponding index of June 2021, compared to June 2020, had shown an increase of 5.7%.

The increase of the General Output Price Index by 9.8%, in the month of June 2022, compared to the corresponding index of June 2021 (Table 1), is due to:

a) to the 6.3% increase in the price index of plant production and mainly to the change in the vegetables and horticultural group, and

b) to the 17.0% increase in the price index of animal production.

The General Index of Output Prices during the month of June 2022, compared to the index of May 2022, showed a decrease of 3.6%. The weighted average Outflow Index for the twelve months July 2021 – June 2022, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months July 2020 – June 2021, showed an increase of 16.5%.

The General Index of Input Prices in Agriculture – Livestock for the month of June 2022, compared to the corresponding index for June 2021, showed an increase of 28.0% compared to an increase of 6.6% recorded when comparing June 2021 to June 2020. increase in the General Input Price Index by 28.0%, in the month of June 2022, compared to the corresponding index in June 2021, due to the increase by 31.9% in the price index of consumables and mainly to the change in the energy and lubricants group .

The General Income Index during the month of June 2022, compared to the index of May 2022, showed an increase of 2.1%. The average Income Index for the twelve months July 2021 – June 2022, showed an increase of 17.8% compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months July 2020 – June 2021.
