ELSTAT: At 132,687 thousand euros the total amount collected from mortgage operations in 2019

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces statistical data regarding the operations of the Mortgage Offices, the Transitional Cadastral Offices and the Pawnshops (hereinafter Mortgage Offices), year 2019.

Particularly:

In the year 2019, out of a total of 369 active Mortgage Offices that responded to the survey (coverage 95.1%), 618,117 transactions were performed and 2,892,157 copies and certificates were issued. The total amount received from the rights amounts to 132,687 thousand euros, of which 40.4% corresponds to fixed assets, TAXDIK, EKHA1, 32.5% to public rights and 27.1% to rights of Mortgage Offices.

– From the comparison of the transactions of the year 2019 with the corresponding transactions of the year 2018, there is an increase of 27.7% in the transactions and 12.1% in the collected rights.

– In terms of the distribution of transactions carried out in the year 2019, based on the categorization that follows, the largest movement is presented by transfers (62.2%), followed by other transactions (15.9%) and mortgages (14, 4%). On the contrary, seizures and claims show insignificant movement, 4.4% and 3.0% respectively.

– The number of transfer transactions, in the year 2019, amounted to 384,532 transactions, showing an increase of 31.6% compared to 2018, while the value of their transactions amounted to 14,104 million euros compared to 11,599 million euros last year, showing an increase of 21 , 6%. In the total of the transfers, the purchases and sales correspond to 28.2%.

– From the comparison of the registered transactions of the last two years (2019/2018), there is an increase in the transactions of 21.8% and respectively an increase in the value of transactions 28.1%.

The number of mortgage transactions, in the year 2019, showed an increase compared to 2018 by 21.7%, ie 88,766 transactions in 2019 compared to 72,937 transactions in 2018. Of the total mortgage transactions, in the year 2019, 11.5% corresponds to mortgages in favor of the Greek State and 88.5% to other mortgage transactions.

– The value of transactions in registered mortgage transactions, in the year 2019, amounted to 26,546 million euros compared to 22,531 million euros in the previous year, showing an increase of 17.8%. Regarding the distribution of the transaction value of mortgages, it is observed that 19.2% refers to the value of mortgages in favor of the Greek State and 80.8% to the value of other mortgage transactions.

– Regarding the analysis of seizure transactions compared to the last two years (2019/2018), there is an increase of 1.5%. In the year 2019, out of the total of 27,175 registered seizure transactions, 8,959 came from transactions in favor of the Greek State and 18,216 from other transactions, a distribution rate of 33.0% and 67.0% respectively.

– The value of transactions in registered foreclosures, in the year 2019, decreased by 11.1% compared to the year 2018 and amounted to 4,444 million euros compared to 5,000 million euros respectively. From the distribution of the value of foreclosure transactions, it is observed that 80.3% refers to the value of foreclosures in favor of the Greek State and 19.7% to the value of other foreclosures.

– The registered pledged transactions for the last two years (2019/2018), show an increase in transactions by 25.3% and a decrease in the value of transactions by 56.4%. ELSTA:
