A total of 17,994 cars (new or used abroad) were released for the first time in April compared to 18,352 released in the corresponding month of 2021, showing a decrease of 2.0%, as announced today by the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
The traffic for the first time had a 355.3% increase in car traffic (new or used abroad) in April 2021 compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The new cars released in April of 2022 amount to 10,184 against 11,069 released in the corresponding month of 2021, showing a decrease of 8.0%.
At the same time, the circulation of new motorcycles with a displacement of more than 50 cc (new and used abroad) in the month of April 2022, amounted to 5,565 against 4,776 in the corresponding month of 2021, showing an increase of 16.5%.
The circulation of new motorcycles (over 50 cc) had increased by 383.4% in April 2021 compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The new motorcycles released in April of 2022 amount to 5,158 against 4,361 released in the corresponding month of 2021, showing an increase of 18.3%.
January – April
In the period January – April 2022, 68,220 cars were released for the first time (new or used abroad) compared to 64,530 that were released in the corresponding period of the year 2021, showing an increase of 5.7%.
An increase of 25.4% was presented in the four months of January – April 2021 compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
The new cars that were released in the period January – April 2022 amount to 34,796 compared to 36,943 that were released in the corresponding period of 2021, showing a decrease of 5.8%.
The circulation of new motorcycles over 50 cc (new and used abroad) during the period January – April 2022, amounted to 15,523 against 12,691 that were released in the corresponding period of 2021, showing an increase of 22.3%.
An increase of 64.7% was presented in the four months of January – April 2021 compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
The new motorcycles that were released in the period January – April 2022 amount to 14,159 compared to 11,470 that were released in the corresponding period of the year 2021, showing an increase of 23.4%.
