The indicators of working hours and wages in the sectors related to tourism jumped in the first quarter, as shown by the data published today by the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
In particular, the index of working hours in the activities of accommodation services and catering services showed an annual jump of 125.8%, while the corresponding index of salaries and wages jumped 162%. In the same sector, the employment rate increased by 13.1%.
On the other hand, construction shows a decline of 12.4% in the index of working hours and 10.6% in the index of wages and salaries, while the index of employed persons falls 22%.
