The turnover of all enterprises and activities of the economy in the first quarter of 2022 showed a strong increase of 33.5%, mainly due to the comparison with the corresponding period last year when most of the restrictive measures due to a pandemic were in force.
It is characteristic that the largest increase was presented by the companies in the sector of Arts, Entertainment and Entertainment by 315.1%, while the smallest was in the companies of the Information and Communication sector, by 5.3%.
At the same time, the companies in the sector of Accommodation Services and Catering Services increased their turnover by 272.6%.

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces data on the evolution of turnover for all companies in all sectors of the economy, by incorporating the latest data on turnover from Administrative Sources, April 2022.
This publication is a continuation of the Press Releases for the Evolution of the Turnover of the Companies in suspension of operation, due to the pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) published by ELSTAT (link DT). However, due to the evolution of the pandemic and the lifting of restrictive measures, tables and graphs with aggregate data for the turnover of only all companies and sectors of the economy will now be presented.
The purpose of this publication is to monitor and present the evolution of the basic financial size (turnover from Administrative Sources), through which conclusions can be drawn about the course of the Greek Economy and each branch of economic activity separately.

For set of businesses and activities of the economyturnover in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 88,283,509 thousand euros, recording an increase of 33.5% compared to the first quarter of 2021, which had amounted to 66,112,030 thousand euros.
The largest increase in turnover in the first quarter 2022 compared to the first quarter of 2021 was presented by companies in the Arts, Entertainment and Entertainment sector by 315.1%, while the smallest increase in turnover in the first quarter 2022 compared to the first quarter 2021 presented the companies in the Information and Communication sector, by 5.3%.
For all businesses in the economy with the obligation to keep diplographic booksfor which data are available on a monthly basis, turnover in April 2022 amounted to 27,176,044 thousand euros, recording an increase of 31.6% compared to April 2021, which had amounted to 20,654,601 thousand euros.
The largest increase in turnover in April 2022 compared to April 2021 was presented by the companies in the sector Accommodation Services and Catering Services by 272.6%.
The smallest increase in turnover in April 2022 compared to April 2021 was presented by the companies in the Activities sector.
Related to Human Health and Social Welfare, by 2.6%, while the largest decrease in turnover was presented by companies in the Mining and Quarrying sector, by 17.7%.
