The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces the final data, for the month of December 2021, of the Construction Activity Survey.
Particularly:
The size of the Total Construction Activity (Private – Public), during the month of December 2021, in the whole country based on the issued building permits, amounted to 2,170 building permits, corresponding to 513.0 thousand m2 of area and 2,253.8 thousand In other words, there was an increase of 18.3% in the number of building permits, an increase of 3.1% in the area and an increase of 13.1% in the volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The issued permits for Private Construction Activity, in the whole country, during the month of December 2021 amounted to 2,152 building permits, corresponding to 502.5 thousand m2 of surface and 2,221.4 thousand m3 volume, showing an increase of 18.2% in the number of building permits, an increase of 4.1% in area and an increase of 14.1% in volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The issued Public Building Activity permits during the month of December 2021, in the whole Country, amounted to 18 building permits, corresponding to 10.5 thousand m2 of surface and 36.4 thousand m3 of volume. The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the month of December 2021, is 1.6%.
During the period of the last twelve months, ie from January 2021 to December 2021, the size of the Total Construction Activity (Private-Public) based on the issued building permits, in the whole Country, amounted to 23,970 building permits, corresponding to 6,055.3 thousand m2 of surface and 25,627.1 thousand m3 of volume.
Compared to the corresponding period January 2020 – December 2020, there was an increase of 26.6% in the number of building permits, an increase of 46.6% in the area and an increase of 45.7% in the volume.
During the same period, January 2021 – December 2021, Private Construction Activity shows in the whole country, an increase of 26.8% in the number of issued building permits, an increase of 47.2% in the area and an increase of 45.9 % in volume, compared to the corresponding period January 2020 – December 2020.
The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the above period, is 2.1%.
