The building permits issued in January increased by 4.3%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
In particular, and according to the data of ELSTAT, the size of the Total Construction Activity (Private – Public), during the month of January 2022, in the whole country based on the issued building permits, amounted to 1,522 building permits, corresponding to 33 m2 area and 1,363,698 m3 volume, ie showed an increase of 4.3% in the number of building permits, an increase of 23.6% in the area and an increase of 22.7% in volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2021.
The issued permits for Private Construction Activity, in the whole country, during the month of January 2022 amounted to 1,504 building permits, corresponding to 330,507 m2 of surface and 1,336,268 m3 volume, showing an increase of 4.0% in the number of building permits, by 24.4% in area and an increase of 23.6% in volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2021.
The issued Public Building Activity permits during the month of January 2022, in the whole Country, amounted to 18 building permits, corresponding to 5,647 m2 of surface and 27,430 m3 of volume.
The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the month of January 2022, is 2.0%. During the period of the last twelve months, ie from February 2021 to January 2022, the size of the Total Construction Activity (Private-Public) based on the issued building permits, in the whole Country, amounted to 24,033 building permits, corresponding to 6,119,425 m2 of surface and 25,878,990 m3 of volume.
Compared to the corresponding period February 2020 – January 2021, there was an increase of 26.3% in the number of building permits, an increase of 47.8% in the area and an increase of 46.7% in the volume.
During the same period, February 2021 – January 2022, the Private Building Activity, in the whole country, shows an increase of 26.5% in the number of issued building permits, an increase of 48.5% in the area and an increase of 47.0 % in volume, compared to the corresponding period February 2020 – January 2021.
The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the above period, is 2.1%.
