ELSTAT: The turnover of companies increased by 40% in November

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces data regarding the evolution of the turnover for the companies that were suspended from operation by state order in March 2020, due to the pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In particular, for all businesses in the economy with the obligation to keep bibliographic books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in November 2021 amounted to 25,421,612 thousand euros, an increase of 40.0% compared to November 2020, which had amounted to 18,154,616 thousand euros.

The largest increase in turnover in November 2021 compared to November 2020 was presented by companies in the Arts, Entertainment and Entertainment sector by 181.2%.

The smallest increase in turnover in November 2021 compared to November 2020 was presented by the companies in the sector Other Service Activities, by 5.2% while the companies in the sector Mining and Quarrying decreased by 5.5%.

For the companies that were put into operation in March 2020 with the obligation to keep bibliographic books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in November 2021 amounted to 1,449,233 thousand euros, an increase of 101.5% compared to with November 2020, which had amounted to 719,269 thousand euros.

The largest increase in turnover in November 2021 compared to November 2020 was presented by companies in the production of film, video and television programs, recordings and music publications by 1,016.8%.

The smallest increase in turnover in November 2021 compared to November 2020 was presented by companies in the Education sector, by 17.9%
