The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces data regarding the delayed merchant ships 100 GRT (Total Tonnage) and more in Greek ports.

The ships which in December 2021 were on holiday amounted to 58 of which 22 had a Greek flag and 36 foreign.
The total number of slow vessels decreased by 21.6% and their total capacity decreased by 20.4%, in December 2021 compared to December 2020. According to the corresponding comparison of 2020 to 2019 , there was an increase in the number of late ships by 15.6% and an increase in their total capacity by 52.9%.
The number of long-haul vessels 100 GRT and above, with Greek flag in inland ports decreased by 8.3% and their total capacity increased by 98.3% in December 2021 compared to December 2020.
During the corresponding comparison of the year 2020 to 2019, there was an increase in the number of late ships with Greek flag by 20.0% as well as a decrease in their total capacity by 23.2%.
