ELTA closes new agreements with large groups

Hellenic Post closes new agreements with large groups, both for the delivery of parcels to customers and for the sending of correspondence and invoices.

The agreement for the distribution of Amazon parcels was followed by other companies, most recently Adidas and H&M, which have come directly or through their European distributors to an agreement for the distribution of their products in Greece.

According to information, the management of ELTA is in discussions with other groups for the signing of agreements that will strengthen the role of the group in the so-called lastmile of e-commerce.

At the same time, the management of ELTA puts the weight on the sending of the correspondence and the accounts of large Greek companies, as despite the shift to electronic accounts that have significantly reduced its specific market, many consumers still receive paper bills.

Recently, a legal dispute that lasted more than two years, over the EYDAP tender for the distribution of its accounts, was completed. The decision definitively highlighted the offer of ELTA as legal, releasing EYDAP to complete the tender.

According to sources of the group, the return of the distribution and the accounts of EYDAP, is part of the moves of the ELTA management in the last two years, in the direction of providing better, more reliable and more competitive services to its customers.

The trend is expected to have a significant impact on the financial figures of the company as revenues from the distribution of accounts and correspondence for large customers are estimated to exceed 44 million euros in 2021.

It is no coincidence that recently, a number of large Greek business groups, after a competitive process, chose ELTA as a provider of postal services. These include, among others, PPC, the OTE / COSMOTE group, the National Bank, the Eurobank bank, the AlphaBank bank, Protergia, Elpedison, ZENITH, Nova and the European Loyalty and Interamerican insurance groups.

The transformation is progressing

The new agreements come at a time when the functional and digital transformation of ELTA is in progress, which began with the installation of the robotic object sorting system, and will proceed in the coming months with the implementation of the Digital Post Office and SmartLockers programs. ).

According to the same sources, the goal of the ELTA management is for the company to develop into a state-of-the-art, reliable and fully competitive service provider. Which will cover the postal needs of Greek citizens, while offering them the opportunity to serve, through the new advanced applications, every need for delivery, receipt and electronic payment.
