A pair of blue suede shoes that belonged to Elvis Presley will go to auction this Friday (28) and the value can reach up to R$ 800 thousand . The size 42 shoes had been in the possession of a friend of the singer for years and were obtained by auction house Henry Aldrige and Son, which shared photos and information about the item.
The famous “Blue Suede Shoes” were used during the 1950s, on and off stage. According to the portal, the initial offer will be 55 thousand pounds, which is equivalent to R$384 thousand. However, the Henry Aldrige and Son estimates that the shoes will be sold for between 100 and 120 thousand pounds, around R$699 and R$839 thousand.
According to information from the auction house, Elvis offered the shoes to his friend Alan Fortas the night before his induction into the US Army, when he donated some of his unwanted clothes before enlisting.
According to the website, the shoes were worn by the King of Rock when he performed on The Steve Allen Show in 1956 and he also wore the suede shoes when he sang hits like “Hound Dog” and “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You” on TV.
On the website, other pieces of the singer such as pants, another pair of shoes, a necklace and other items are still for sale.
