Her visit is expected to contribute to the completion of the reconciliation between the two countries, which began with the meeting of Emanuel Macron with Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome on October 29.

“We had a constructive meeting in Rome a few days ago with President Biden, which paved the way for the coming weeks, months and years,” Macron said at the start of the meeting, which was attended by, among others, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Minister for Women and Men Equality Elizabeth Moreno.

“I believe, and we share this view, that we are at the beginning of a new era, rich in challenges but also in opportunities,” she said.
