The American singer Eminem, 51, celebrated being sober for 16 years with a drug rehabilitation medal.
He used social media to show the black coin with silver designs. Among the illustrations appears the typical triangle of these coins, with the number 16 inside.
These items are given as gifts to those who manage to go long periods without using drugs, after being addicted. There are coins with numbers from one to 50.
In the comments, The singer's fans congratulated him on his achievement : “16 years strong. Proud of you”, wrote a follower. “This is the best post recently,” commented another.
Eminem became addicted to chemicals in the early 2000s having gone through the peak of the problem in 2006, after the death of rapper Proof, a great friend of his.
