Emma Stone is free to play with her hair as she pleases

Emma Stone is in its golden age, so much so that it emanates light itself: awarded at the recent Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards as best actress for the film Poor Creatures! by Yorgos Lanthimos (in Italy at the cinema from 25 January) and in anticipation of his second Oscar (the first he received in 2017 for La La Land)the American diva is unstoppable.

The winning mistake

First of all, raise your hand if you aren't curious to see her in action in the film which also won the Golden Lion at the latest Venice Film Festival. If not only because in the film Emma Stone already arouses curiosity with hers raven hair size XXL. An unusual and very dark shade for the actress, born blonde but who for Hollywood is definitely a hot redhead. The curiosity is that this beauty detail of the character she plays was born almost by mistake as the diva herself explained in an interview given to Total Film.

That hair so long, so dark And decidedly far from its iconic one red head red hair – or if necessary blonde they shouldn't have been like this but a lighter brown. But in the end the dye returned this shade and they continued like this in the film.

A mistake, therefore, which however immediately convinced the director who decided to do that black liquorice one of Bella Baxter's distinctive featuresthe character played by Emma Stone: «The idea was that she had to be ahead of her time [il film è ambientato nell’Inghilterra vittoriana], a sort of rebel but at the same time childish and natural. So we thought it was a great idea to have Emma dye her hair. Then she showed up with this raven hair and I thought it was fine. The contrast between her and her very white skin was astonishing,” she explained to Lanthimos magazine.

Brunette, blonde, redhead, always beautiful

The point is, however, that every head shown off by Emma Stone leaves no one indifferent and that the actress herself seems to have a lot of fun experimenting with different shades, even extreme ones (how can we forget her with the legendary two-tone black & white in Cruella?)

Even if for us remains one of the most spectacular redheads in Hollywood although, as we were saying, naturally, she is absolutely very blonde, a shade that comes back to peek out on her head every other cycle. Recently, a few months ago she went back to square one, showing herself on Instagram with a cool asymmetric bob with a single particular sign: platinum colour. Stone's look was created by the celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszakfounder of the Rōz hair product line.

But for the American star, as we have said, the color of her heart hair remains red of which, over the course of the last few years, she has experimented with every shade, going from warmer tones tending towards brown, copper or mahogany, always combined with bob and long bob, except for a delay.

Back to copper

And she has now returned to red shades: during the last red carpets for the American awards events, Emma Stone appeared with hair in shades copper brown, as usual perfect on her.

A winning choice, which distinguishes her from all the high Hollywood penthouses, given that her genetics also help her: very pale skin, freckles, big green eyes. What is striking about her hair, however, is how well-groomed and shiny she always is. Worked into soft waves or collected in slightly disheveled updos, Emma Stone is known for her hairstyles to match her looks.

And to think that in some interviews he has stated several times that «hair is the last thing on my mind. I remember that I have to treat them but I always put it off.” Truly blessed with luck, no doubt about it!

In any case, whether she is redhead, blonde or brunette, Emma proves that she can pull off practically any look and her hair is as versatile as her roles.
