Emma Stone declared that, after a misunderstanding caused by Taylor Swift's fans, she will no longer make jokes with the singer, with whom she is a longtime friend.
According to the star of “Poor Creatures”, the swifites “took out of context” a statement he made in a clear joking tone during a press conference backstage at the Golden Globes.
“I definitely won’t make a joke like that again,” said the actress. “What the hell.”
At the ceremony, which took place on January 7, Emma Stone won the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance in the film by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and heard very enthusiastic applause and screams from Taylor Swift in the audience.
“What an idiot, right?” Stone joked that night.
For her role in “Poor Creatures”, the actress competes for the Oscar for Best Actress with names like Lily Gladstone and Sandra Hüller.
