Seventeen years olduntil now Lalla Khadija had been seen very little in public, just think that her last official photos of the girl date back to 2019when together with his family he welcomed the Spanish royals visiting Morocco. Other shots, however, portray her on her fourth birthday, together with her father and mother Lalla Salma Bennani, ex-wife of Mohammed VI who has long disappeared from public life, so much so that over the years she has fueled an infinite number of gossip and suppositions.
Not much is known about Lalla Khadija either, even if the role she is playing during the Macrons’ official visit suggests her increasingly active presence on the Moroccan public scene: a sort of première dame, given that there is no queen who can fill the role, at least as long as the crown prince Moulay El Hassan, 21 years old and eldest son of Mohammed VI and Lalla Salma Bennani, he will not ascend the throne.
A very distant day, at least on paper, which gives her sister the chance to emerge and represent her country. At the moment he is studying to do it better and the princess is often at his side Lalla Meryem, her father’s sister, a key figure at Court and very active in the cultural and social sphere, a role that could fall to her niece in the future.
